I remember conversations with my beloved dad when articles, about the upcoming book, on the life of Henrietta Lacks first appeared. Another story of people of color being taken advantage of, is there a corner where deception and wrongs did not occur? And yet, it is a blessing that these stories surface because learning happens, wrongs can be addressed and reparations made. I am ready to watch the HBO movie, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks starring Rene Elise Goldsberry, of Hamilton & The Good Wife fame and Oprah Winfrey. Watch the trailer.
