Last week I tuned into Periscope to join Lady Nakia Wright’s book club. The featured book was The Joy Spot by Lady Kim McKissick. This purchase is a must add for your Christmas list. Though she wrote this book with the pastor’s wife in mind, what came through, as I watched Periscope, was its universal application for Christian woman. I heard several Wow points as I listened to the sisters in the circle discuss the book. I will share a couple that made me place an order. Lady Nakia and Lady Kim’s discussion about the power to change an atmosphere in a room, not because of one’s position, rather it is because of the Joy that radiates from the inside. Another significant truth discussed was the power of silence and awareness of when to be quiet. This topic really got the sisters talking. I know I’ve had moments when I should have held my peace. Wisdom and grace regularly show me the blessing and benefit of silence. Without question, my favorite Wow point was that God wants to use our Joy as a witness, our Joy has to be a light in the world, love that. Get your Joy Spot.
